The Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Daugailiai

The first Daugailiai church was built at the end of the 17th century on the Daugailiai hillfort, and its location is marked by a cross erected in 1990. In 1766, the church was struck by lightning and burned down. The current church, built in 1883, features elements of folk architecture and baroque style. It is a two-towered wooden church with wooden carved walls and columns, as well as ornate wooden ceiling decorations. A wooden bell tower stands next to it. The church houses a valuable monstrance, and in the archive, there is a register book from 1685. In the churchyard, there is a wooden cross carved by E. Mozūra (2000) and the symbolic grave of M. Reinys with a commemorative plaque.
