During the last Ice Age, a unique natural feature known as the Gelionių Depression formed on the northern edge of the Gelionys Hills. This site resembles a round crater in shape, leading specialists to hypothesize about a possible meteoritic origin. According to local folklore, mysterious phenomena occur at this site during the night—tiny figures are seen appearing, squeaks and cries are heard, and glowing balls are said to float within the depression. Locals refer to these light phenomena as "spirits of unbaptized children," who are believed to suffer here due to their lack of baptism.
