The Holocaust victims' grave and memorial in Biržai is the final resting place of approximately 2,400 Jews from the city of Biržai, including 720 men, 780 women, 900 children, and about 90 Lithuanians. These victims were shot and buried on August 8, 1941, after being forced from the Biržai ghetto, located between the Apaščia River and Vilniaus Street. In 1955, a gravestone monument was erected at this site, and the remains of the victims were transferred and buried in a communal grave.
On June 16, 2019, a new memorial was unveiled to honor the memory of the Jewish victims of the Holocaust in Biržai. The memorial features the names of over 500 known victims, while unknown victims are honored with the symbol of the Star of David. The memorial was designed by Dr. Joseph Rabie from France.
