Located on the northeastern edge of Plateliai town, the observation platform offers visitors a unique opportunity to admire the famous Plateliai Lake with its islands (Castle Island, Vešiai Island) and peninsulas (Šventorkalnis), as well as the charming dark forests of Plokštinė. In 2017, as part of the European Union-funded "Unigreen" project, the observation platform was thoroughly renovated to become accessible to people with mobility and visual impairments. The platform is now equipped with benches, bicycle stands, a ramp, and eight informational stands that reveal the legends of Plateliai Lake and its islands to visitors. Additionally, a tactile stand with Braille – the first and only one of its kind in Žemaitija National Park – has been installed, allowing visually impaired individuals to form a general view of the lake through touch.
