The Suostų Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross has a long and rich history dating back to 1720, when Father Juozas Šarkevičius built a wooden church at Suostų Manor. The church originally featured three altars and an eight-register organ, notable for its time. After Father Šarkevičius's death, services were occasionally held by a priest from Pabiržė. The manor owner, Koscialkovskis, generously donated 20 tenements of land to the church.
Around 1828, Father Vincentas Tilvidavičius settled in Suostų and significantly contributed to the church's development. He expanded the chapel and added a tower, which housed two bells, although they were removed to Russia in 1915. In 2001, the church suffered a major disaster when it burned down, but it was rebuilt over the following years and regained its former splendor. On May 13, 2007, the Suostų Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was solemnly consecrated and reopened its doors to the faithful.
