In 1910, under the care of Pastor Antanas Rumševičius, a red brick church was built, becoming an important center for the religious community. After World War I, Pastor Ignas Andrašiūnas took the initiative to add auxiliary buildings to the church and established a parish hall. In 1928, the pastor painted the church walls, installed new pews, and provided the necessary church furnishings. Finally, on August 12, 1929, Bishop Kazimieras Paltarokas officially consecrated the church. Near this church, on the site of a former hillfort, one can see the remnants of an earlier church—its bell tower and a small storage building that was previously used as a mortuary.
