The Border Guard Museum, preserving over 2,750 exhibits, offers a comprehensive insight into the history and present of Lithuania's state border protection system. This unique place allows visitors to explore the work and challenges faced by border guards from the early days of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania to modern times. The museum invites visitors on a historical journey through a virtual two-part program: from the origins of border protection in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania to contemporary border security in Lithuania. These interactive programs provide a deep dive into the nuances and evolution of border guard service over the centuries. At the core of the exhibition are personal items, documents, and photographs of Antanas Straukas, a pre-war border guard. The artifacts donated

by the Straukas family, including valuable awards and uniform details, offer an authentic glimpse into the daily life and challenges of border guards. Significant attention is given to the development of state border protection after 1990. Exhibits, documents, and photographs allow visitors to immerse themselves in the experiences of the first border guards who fought for Lithuania's freedom and independence with unwavering determination and dedication.
