Turgeliai Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Turgeliai Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, originally built in 1511, was reconstructed between 1897 and 1909 based on the design by architect Aleksey Polozov. While preserving its original walls, the church acquired features of the Neo-Baroque style. In the early 20th century, it was adorned with paintings and stained glass created by renowned artists.
