Svilės Springs are an interesting and widely visited hydrological natural site. Covering an area of 1.8 hectares, these springs are the largest in Lithuania, with over a hundred springs emerging from the ground. The Svilė stream, the only one of its kind in Lithuania, flows from these springs and is home to glacial relict insects – Arctic caddisflies. According to local residents, before the war, there were more and larger springs. Sometimes, water would erupt from the ground in fountains. Due to land reclamation and other human activities, a large part of the spring area has become swampy. Today, the pulse of the spring sources is no more than three centimeters.
