The Šaukėnai Local History Museum was established in 1999. The museum features an exhibition that introduces the history of the town and the notable people who lived there. It displays artworks by the artist Valerija Zalensienė, interesting exhibits of folk life, and folk art. There is also an exhibition of a farmer's cottage. The museum regularly hosts exhibitions.
