Kriaučius Stone lies in an open plowed field near the Kražiai-Jauniškės road, almost at the top of a smooth 157-meter-high hill. This boulder is the third largest in Lithuania. The boulder measures 7.84 meters in length, 7.65 meters in width, over 4 meters in height, with the largest horizontal circumference being 23.2 meters. This boulder (specifically, a small upper part protruding above the ground) was long known to the local residents. However, it wasn't until 1974 that land reclamation workers first used a bulldozer to push the soil aside and further expose the boulder's surface. In 1989, using pulley blocks borrowed from the Mažeikiai oil refinery, along with arm-thick cables and two anchors buried in the ground, they managed to pull the boulder to the surface and drag it to the nearest hill in the village of Vileikiai.
