The Church of the Holy Cross in Skaudvilė is an impressive religious building located on Tauragės Street, with its front facade facing the market square. Built in 1797, the church is a unique example of folk architecture, while also displaying elements of classicism. The wooden, cruciform church was constructed from hewn logs and clad in boards, with its foundation built on a stone masonry base, ensuring the building's stability. The church features three naves, and its interior showcases an impressive main altar. The church is characterized by a massive gabled roof, and the elegant triangular pediment at the eastern end adds additional ornamentation and distinction to the building, especially when compared to other religious structures in the Žemaitija region. The Church of the Holy Cross in Skaudvilė remains important not only as an architectural landmark but also as a cultural and historical object, representing the local religious tradition.
