Nagliai Nature Reserve Nature Trail

The Nagliai Nature Reserve spans 1,680 hectares, stretching nine kilometers from Juodkrantė to Pervalka. Here, you can see the Grey Dunes, also known as Dead Dunes, the buried remains of former settlements, natural forest vegetation, and ancient forest soils buried under the sand. Strong winds create impressive hollows and grooves in these dunes, with fragments of old soils sometimes emerging from beneath the sand.

is a parking lot. This is where the special nature trail begins, which is slightly over a kilometer long. About half of the trail is on reinforced surfaces (gravel, boards), with the rest of it leading through the sand. During the summer season, visitors to the Nagliai Nature Reserve educational trail are serviced and the flow of visitors is regulated from Monday to Sunday. The trail's visiting hours are aligned with sunset, allowing visitors to enjoy the reserve's landscapes longer and avoid congestion in the parking lot.
