A gigantic stone wrapped in legends, many of which tell that the stone was a pagan altar used for sacrifices on various occasions. Literature mentions one specific date when the stone was visited – during Tithe Day. Daiva Vaitkevičienė and Vykintas Vaitkevičius, based on the assumption that Christian Tithe Day might have coincided with the pagan Perkūnas rituals, hypothesized that the Antakmenė stone could have been a sacred site for Perkūnas.
