Linkmenys Hillfort with Settlement (Pilalė)

Its platform is covered with a dark cultural layer. The hillfort is surrounded by marshes and wet meadows on all sides. The hillfort is fallow, with the northeastern slope covered in alders. The hillfort is situated on a separate hill. The platform is oval, elongated in a northwest-southeast direction, measuring 25×19 m, with a 1.5 m lower southwestern part. On the northwestern slope, 4 m below the platform, there is a 2 m wide terrace. The slopes are steep, 8–10 m high. A high-voltage power pole is installed at the base of the northeastern slope.
At the base of all the slopes, there is a 0.3 ha settlement area, where fragments of corded and rough pottery, as well as slag, have been found.
