"Let's open the shutters, / Let everyone see / Grandma drinking tea..." – these are lines from a poem written and read to everyone present by Indrė Gruodienė, head of the Daugėliškis Community and organizer of the art plein air "Let's Open the Shutters" during the event's closing ceremony.

From July 20-24, 2021, seven artists participating in the plein air event painted the shutters of the Daugėliškis community building. They not only painted but also interacted, traveled, and made an effort to get to know the
town and the region. The long-abandoned, now beautifully renovated house was adorned with their artistic scenes. The artists included Dalia Pajėdienė from Tverečius, Nijolė Trinkūnienė from Ignalina, and other artists she gathered: Sigita Klemkaitė from Rokiškis, Rima Baukaitė from Klaipėda, Valdonija Karaliūnienė from Veiviržėnai (Klaipėda district), Algirdas Gaižauskas from Dusetos (Zarasai district), and even Elena Gruodytė, an artist from distant Portugal, who came to visit her mother, Indrė.
