Monument to Commemorate the Exiled and Political Prisoners of the Kaišiadorys District

On June 14, 1996, a monument created by architect Stasys Petrauskas, an honorary citizen of the Kaišiadorys District Municipality, was consecrated. This monument is dedicated to the residents of the Kaišiadorys district who were exiled and sent to camps from the Kaišiadorys railway station between 1941 and 1944-1953. The inscriptions on the commemorative plaques read: "This is the beginning of the exile route for Kaišiadorys residents, 1941 – 1951"; "1941 – Perm Region, 1946 – Krasnoyarsk Territory, 1949 – Irkutsk Region, 1951 – Tomsk Region," "Lord, give us endurance."
