Kihnu Jõnn, real name Enn Uuetoa, was a famous Estonian sea captain who sailed tall ships without a compass or sextant and never experienced a single accident during his career. His final voyage ended in 1913 when the ship "Rock City" sank near the coast of Denmark. In honor of this brave sailor, a striking 2-meter-tall bronze memorial was erected near the yacht harbor in Pärnu. It is one of the notable landmarks in Pärnu, commemorating Estonia’s maritime history and its legendary captains.
