Following the reconstruction of Mažvydas Avenue, the heart of Klaipėda has taken on a new look, becoming an attractive spot for both residents and visitors. The project's ambition was to restore the historical spirit of the avenue by integrating contemporary design and urban planning ideas. Thanks to the vision of architect V. Paulionis, the avenue has been transformed into a modern and comfortable pedestrian zone where the past and present blend harmoniously.
The renovated Mažvydas Avenue, featuring high-quality materials such as clinker and granite tiles, showcases a unique design of public space. Original lighting
fixtures complement the avenue's illumination, while granite benches offer a closer view of the unique sculptural compositions.
Each sculpture along the avenue is a work of art that enhances the landscape and gives the area its unique character. Among the sculptures are "Avenue Book," "Bronze Girl," "Life Microchip," and many others, each telling its own story and drawing the attention of art enthusiasts.
In this revitalized city corner, art, history, and modern public space concepts come together to create an area suited for various social groups, encouraging interaction among locals and visitors alike.
