One of the most fascinating natural spots in Pärnu is Munamäe Park, located just a few steps from the city center. Established in the late 19th century on the former site of the Mercurius bastion, the park stands out for both its history and for being the highest point in the city. Munamäe Park is one of six protected green spaces in Pärnu. It attracts visitors not only with its peaceful scenery but also with a unique selection of trees. Rare species like the black pine (Pinus nigra) and yellow birch (Betula alleghaniensis) grow on its slopes—both of which are seldom found in Estonia. The park is ideal for families, offering a playground, a skate park, and benches for relaxing and enjoying nature. Thanks to its convenient location and variety of activities, Munamäe Park is one of the most beloved recreational areas for both locals and tourists looking for things to see in Pärnu.

Munamäe Park is currently closed due to renovation works.
