Tallinn Gate in Pärnu is the only surviving 17th-century city fortress gate in the Baltic States. Formerly known as Carl Gustav’s Gate, it once connected the postal road to Tallinn. It is believed to have been designed by the renowned engineer Erik Dahlbergh. In the 19th century, during the demolition of the city’s fortifications, the gate and moat were preserved – today forming part of Vallikäär Park. Passing through the majestic gate, visitors can enjoy the historic atmosphere of Pärnu and scenic coastal views.
