Located in Latvia’s Augšdaugava region, the Church of St. John the Baptist in Medumi was begun in 1933 and built according to architect Pavlovs’ design. It is now a notable cultural heritage site.
The interior features three altars, including a painting of St. John the Baptist and a relief of Christ the King. This church is ideal for religious tourism and cultural discovery, especially for travelers exploring lesser-known Latvian churches near the Lithuanian border.
