In Vilnius Old Town, on Vokiečių Street, stands a unique bronze sculpture – “Barbora with Prince Kazimieras’s Ducal Hat”, created by Vladas Vildžiūnas in 1982. Originally meant for Lentvaris Manor, it became a beloved part of the city. The female figure is often linked to Barbora Radvilaitė – the only woman in Lithuanian history to become Queen of Poland. If you look from the right angle, you’ll notice a hidden detail – she appears to try on a ducal hat. This artistic touch subtly connects the sculpture to Lithuania’s royal past and invites passersby to reflect on history.
