The monument to Vytautas the Great in Birštonas, created by sculptor Gediminas Jokūbonis and architect Vytautas Čekanauskas, depicts Vytautas on horseback and is made of light pink Ukrainian granite. The monument was unveiled in 1998 and is located in Vytautas Park, between Vytautas Hill and the Nemunas riverbank. This sculpture symbolizes the courageous and determined Vytautas, an important figure in Lithuanian history. The granite used for the sculpture was brought from the lands of Lithuania from Vytautas' time – Ukraine. This sculpture has become an important cultural and historical part of Birštonas, attracting tourists and reflecting the town's tranquility and dignity. The monument is one of Birštonas' most significant symbols.
