Cypos stream, flowing from Lake Kalotė into the Baltic Sea, is 6.1 km long and belongs to the Lithuanian seaside river basin. The settlements along the river include Zeigiai (where Cypos street is located), Normantai, and Karklė. The name of the river originates from the personal name "Cypas," recorded in 1758. The name "Cypa" is possibly linked to the Lithuanian word "cypa," meaning "diminished," and may reflect the legacy of mixed Curonian and Lithuanian families in the area.
