The Antanas Mončys Art Museum in Palanga is a unique attraction where visitors can not only admire artworks but also touch sculptures, fulfilling the artist's will. The museum is housed in a building constructed in the early 20th century, with its reconstruction inspired by the sculptor's works. Antanas Mončys (1921–1993), a famous modernist from Kretinga district, gifted over 200 of his works, including sculptures, masks, whistles, and drawings, to Lithuania after his death.

Since 1999, the museum has been inviting visitors to discover the artist’s creative legacy. The first floor hosts regularly updated exhibitions, and the nearby Palanga Fairy Tale Park, opened in 2016, offers unforgettable experiences for families.

The Antanas Mončys Art Museum is a unique place where art lovers and families with children can enjoy both aesthetic and sensory experiences. It is the only museum of its kind in Lithuania where visitors are allowed to touch sculptures, in accordance with the artist's wishes. The museum is located in a building constructed in the early 20th century by Vladas Navickas, the son of the Tiškevičiai family’s estate manager. Although Antanas Mončys (1921–1993), a renowned modernist born in Kretinga district, never lived in Palanga, he was enchanted by the resort and, after his death, donated more than 200 of his works to Lithuania. These

works—sculptures, drawings, graphic art, collages, masks, and whistles—were initially displayed in the former "Jūratė" sanatorium's library, and since 1999, have been exhibited in the new museum. The architectural reconstruction of the museum, overseen by Petras Lapė, blends modernism with tradition, incorporating elements from Mončys' works, such as stair railings shaped like whistles and facade illustrations of Lithuanian fairy tales by Oscar Milašius. On the first floor, visitors can enjoy regularly updated exhibitions, and the nearby Palanga Fairy Tale Park, opened in 2016, enhances the experience for children and families.
