The sculpture "Legends of Samogitia," created by sculptor Romualdas Kvintas and architect Prof. Algirdas Žebrauskas, stands in the center of Telšiai, in Cathedral Square. Unveiled in 2008, the sculpture "Legends of Samogitia" is one of the prominent symbols of Telšiai, located at the entrance to Cathedral Square. This impressive work, created by sculptor Romualdas Kvintas and architect Prof. Algirdas Žebrauskas, portrays the Samogitian totem – a bear carrying three children and two bear cubs on its back. The sculpture slightly resembles the Roman she-wolf, but it is deeply rooted in Samogitian culture and history. Legends about the origins of Samogitians and myths about bears raising children abandoned in the forest are told near this sculpture. The children sitting
