The monument "To the Partisans of the Žemaitija District and the Struggle for Freedom" honors the partisan battles in the Telšiai region and Lithuania's quest for freedom. Created by sculptor R. Midvikis and architect Algirdas Žebrauskas, the monument symbolizes the heroism of the Žemaitija people and commemorates the fights against the occupiers and historical events in 1831, 1863, 1918, and 1991.
