The Tower of Light is an 11-meter-high stainless steel structure that has become a symbol of Jonava. Created by artist Stasys Žirgulis, it features a figure of Jonas, the guardian of the city, standing at the top, holding a shield and spear, welcoming visitors. This intricate, openwork sculpture lights up in the evening along with the city’s streetlights, creating a cozy atmosphere and a captivating play of light.
The Tower of Light is not just an aesthetic feature but also a symbolic landmark of the city, inviting passersby to stop, admire, and experience the spirit of Jonava.
