The Pajevonys (Kunigiškiai) Hillfort, also known as Pilies Hill, is listed in the Register of Immovable Cultural Heritage. It is situated on a riverside promontory between the Skardupis and Ėglupis streams, with steep slopes up to 10 meters high. The hillfort's oval platform (150x76 m) is surrounded by a rampart, with additional fortifications on the southeastern edge.
A 12-hectare settlement once surrounded the hillfort. Roman coins have been discovered here, along with archaeological finds such as bronze jewelry and other artifacts. The Pajevonys Hillfort served as an important center for trade and habitation during the early centuries AD.
