Pasvalys Sinkhole Park is a unique natural attraction, unparalleled in Lithuania or the world. This historic area, also known as the "Avižonis Pits," offers a rare opportunity to see what the landscape looked like 80 years ago, with 56 natural karst sinkholes resembling the surface of the Moon. Currently, within the park's 8-hectare area, there are more than ten sinkholes of various sizes and shapes, including the deepest one, which reaches approximately 6 meters in depth. One of these karst formations has even been transformed into an amphitheater, where cultural events are organized, attracting both locals and tourists. Sinkhole Park is safe and accessible to visitors, allowing them to enjoy the unique natural scenery and cultural performances without any risk.
