The Jašiūnai Church of St. Anne, established in 1515, has a long and storied history, despite being plundered and burned. Until the early 20th century, Jašiūnai had no permanent church, only chapels. In 1929, a modest three-nave wooden church was built, becoming a centerpiece of the town and its religious life.
