The Pelekiai Stone with cups, also known as the Devil's Stone, stands at the top of a hill near the road to Senoji Įpiltis. This geological and cultural monument is impressive in size – measuring 5.8 x 4.3 meters, with a flat surface that features about 90 small depressions, each 3–4.5 cm in diameter.
According to legends, this stone was a site for pagan rituals, where the priestesses tended the sacred fire and made offerings to the gods. Other stories tell that a spring with healing powers once flowed from beneath the stone, and at night, ghosts would appear or little devils would dance around it.
The Pelekiai Stone invites visitors to explore Lithuania's mythology and geological heritage. It is not only a mystical but also a unique place that attracts both history and nature enthusiasts.
