At the end of September 1941, a tragedy occurred at this site – about 60 Jewish women from Darbėnai and approximately 40 girls brought from the Dimitravas camp, who were members of the Skuodas Jewish community, were killed. A memorial stone has been erected to honor the victims of these events, symbolizing the painful legacy of the Holocaust. The memorial invites visitors to stop, remember the stories of these individuals, and reflect on their significance in the context of Lithuanian culture and history.
