The Lazdininkai Windmill is a remarkable site, captivating with its unusual history. This wooden, octagonal structure began its journey in Vilnius, was later relocated to Padvariai, and finally ended up in Lazdininkai village. The transfer of the windmill to its current location was initiated by a pharmacist from the town of Darbėnai.
The windmill changed owners several times. Eventually, it was purchased by a local farmer who raised funds from working in coal mines in America. This historic windmill stands as a testament to perseverance and ingenuity, becoming a symbol of Lazdininkai village and a local attraction.
