Built in 1875, the wooden Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a true gem of the countryside. This work of folk architecture features neo-Gothic elements, a rectangular layout, and a single nave with three altars. The churchyard is surrounded by a stone masonry wall with metal gates and turrets, and it houses a distinctive three-tiered bell tower. The tower, taller than the church itself, is adorned with ornate cornices.
The most notable feature of the bell tower is its large copper bell, whose sound once echoed across the entire region. During the war, the bell was hidden to prevent it from falling into German hands and being melted down for artillery. It remained concealed even during Soviet times and only rang again after the war. Traditionally, the bell rang three times a day: morning, noon, and evening. If heard at any other time, it signaled the death of a parish member.
