In 1670, based on a permit from ruler Jan Sobieski, the first church was built in Pernarava. Later, in 1815, Count H. Zabiela, the owner of the Pernarava estate, constructed a new wooden Church of the Crucified Jesus, which has been well-preserved to this day. This church is an excellent example of folk architecture, characterized by a rectangular plan and a single-tower structure, and is valued as a cultural heritage object.
