Labūnavas Church of Divine Providence

In 1799, the landowner Ignotas Zabiela built the first wooden church in Labūnavas, which burned down in 1812. Shortly after, Anupras Zabiela, the heir to the Labūnavas estate, constructed a new church. Later, in 1855, together with priest J. Normantas, the parishioners built a new masonry sanctuary, but it was destroyed during World War II.
Since 1945, the parish has been using the Zabiela family's mausoleum chapel, which was constructed in 1859. This central building with a circular plan and a dome approximately 10 meters in diameter is a distinctive example of Classicist architectural style and is important for the local cultural and historical identity.
