Velniakalnis is an impressive Iron Age archaeological site located in the Pasvalys region, standing at an elevation of 75.2 meters above sea level. This hill is notable not only as an ancient sacred site where religious rituals were believed to have been conducted during pagan times but also as the location of a unique sundial. Created by folk artist Arūnas Grušas from Pasvalys, this sundial began marking time on September 22, 2019, in celebration of the Baltic Unity Day, and its distinctive design earned it a place in the virtual global sundial atlas at www.sundialatlas.net.
