The cemetery, protected as a cultural heritage site (unique code: 3253; old register code: A1874), is located on the high ground of the left bank of the Bartuva River, sloping to the south and southwest. Previously, this area was used as arable land, but it now serves as a cemetery. The cemetery area is bordered by a stone wall to the north and west. The site features both cremation and inhumation graves, with grave goods typical of the 9th–13th centuries. Due to past agricultural activities and gravel extraction, many graves have been damaged or destroyed, and some of them are found within the cemetery where new burials take place.
