The memorial dedicated to the Dainava District partisans, political prisoners, and exiles who died in the Lazdijai region from 1944 to 1953 was established to honor their fight for Lithuania's freedom. Designed by sculptor Jurgis Nevuolis, the monument was unveiled in 1993, and it houses the remains of fighters from various locations in the region. This historical site is an important landmark in the Lazdijai area, reminding visitors of the difficult journey of partisans and exiles and their determination in the struggle for Lithuania's independence.
