Around 1655, there stood an oak chapel in Krosna, and in 1760, a parish was established, encompassing the surrounding villages. At that time, a wooden church was built, which was demolished in 1838. The current brick church was constructed from 1840 to 1842 with funds from the parish residents and local authorities. In 1871, the churchyard was enclosed, and from 1907 to 1910, an organ was installed. Between 1912 and 1913, the church was enlarged according to the design by K. Vasiliauskas, but in 1915, the Russian army confiscated the bells. In 1921, the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary was painted on the church's ceiling by M. Kasiulis. The building was renovated again in 1932, and in 1935, the sloped area surrounding the churchyard was improved, including the construction of a fence and stairs.
