In the village of Būdvičius, a public chapel was built in 1820, becoming an important center for the local religious community. By 1831, the chapel had a permanent priest, but there was a long period after that without one. It wasn't until 1885 that the church once again had a regular clergyman. In 1895, Father Vladislovas Palukaitis took the initiative to introduce Lithuanian hymns. In 1906, Father Jonas Grajauskas constructed a new wooden chapel, which became a parish in 1917. The parish was officially established in 1920, and by 1936, a sacristy and a double-towered porch were completed. A tragic event occurred in 1947 when Pastor Jonas Marčiukonis went underground, and in 1949, he was killed in hiding. The church features a rectangular plan, a double-towered structure, and a three-nave interior separated by columns. The churchyard is surrounded by a wooden fence, adding authenticity and historical charm.
