The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rudamina, located near the Rudamina Manor, is one of the most significant historical and religious sites in the region. The first church was built in 1592 by Grigalius and Marija Masalskiai. Over time, the church fell into disrepair; however, in the mid-18th century, the owner of Rudamina Manor, Mikalojus Turčinavičius Sušickis, began constructing the current brick church, which was reconstructed in 1797. In the early 19th century, Pastor Augustinas Polikarpas Marcejevskis revitalized the parish, later becoming the auxiliary bishop of Sejny and was buried on this site.
