The mound, dated to the 1st millennium, stands by the road from Verstaminai to Teizai. It is situated on a distinct hill with steep slopes rising 4–5 meters, and its rounded platform measures approximately 25 meters in diameter. According to legend, Duke Šarūnas is buried here, placed inside a chamber within the mound by warriors. It is said that they transported soil using their caps to create the mound and sealed the chamber with a massive stone, which remains to this day. The summit of the mound is adorned with rare pine trees. In 1998, the mound was designated a cultural heritage site by a resolution of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.
