Established in 2015, Dahlia Valley has become a special place on the banks of Lake Alaušas. The community of Sudeikiai decided to plant flowers in this area that had disappeared from private yards. It began with 102 dahlia tubers, and each year the number increased. By 2021, the valley had already been planted with 720 dahlias, blooming in more than 30 different colors. People not only bring their own dahlias but also willingly participate in communal spring and autumn activities, where they plant and harvest, creating an even more beautiful area.

more beautiful area. The valley also hosts the traditional “Dahlia Blooming Festival,” held on the first Saturday of September each year. This celebration allows local residents and guests to enjoy songs, dances, treats, and lotteries. Dahlias start blooming at the end of June, and their blooming continues until the end of September, depending on weather conditions. The peak bloom occurs in early September. Visitors can admire this colorful valley while walking along the shore without any time restrictions or fees.
