The Buivydžiai community, an important center of the eldership and parish, has proudly displayed its official coat of arms since 2012, featuring a standing stag. This image emphasizes the richness and abundance of the local forests, while the red color reflects the passion, courage, and struggle of the local residents for their freedoms. The symbol of St. George's Church in the coat of arms highlights the community's religiosity and historical heritage. Buivydžiai is renowned for two objects of architectural and spiritual beauty - St. George's Church and St. Florian's Chapel. These sites, with their unique architectural style and sacred significance, are considered national cultural treasures. The history of Buivydžiai is linked to the 18th century when the nobleman Mykolas Radziševskis founded the impressive St. George's Church and St. Florian's Chapel, contributing to the formation of the cultural landscape. The Pričiūnai Chapel of St. Ignatius, known for the July indulgences in honor of St. Ignatius of Loyola, is another religious heritage site that attracts believers from all over
the country. In Lithuania, the only Baltic country with Muslim places of worship, the Buivydžiai Mosque is a historical and architectural gem. The annual St. Ignatius indulgences are a great opportunity to experience spirituality and community, as well as to honor the sisters Wanda Boniszewska and Helena Majewska, whose lives and work were closely tied to this place. The surroundings of Pričiūnai are not only a center of religious but also natural importance, offering visitors a unique combination of nature and history. The Rėva Hillfort and other archaeological sites provide a window into the past, allowing an understanding of the cultural and historical significance of this region. St. George's Church and St. Florian's Chapel, along with the heritage of St. Ignatius of Loyola and the Jesuits, emphasize the richness of Lithuania's spiritual and cultural history. The history of the Buivydžiai community and its sacred sites are an integral part of the country's cultural identity, offering visitors not only a religious experience but also a deep understanding of history and culture.
