Jotaučiai Manor, during the period from the 17th to the 19th centuries, along with the village of Degsniai and the Kastulynė Forest, belonged to the Koziel-Poklevski noble family, which originated from the Grand Duchy of Moscow. At that time, the manor owned as much as 550 hectares of land. During the war in 1914, the manor's barns were converted into a horse hospital, and in 1919, a Bolshevik committee was established here. To this day, the red brick palace, barns, and farm buildings have been preserved. Until 2001, these buildings housed a local store and the Jotaučiai Culture Center.
