The history of the museum's establishment is associated with the then director of the forestry farm, Enrikas Juzeliūnas, who possessed the horns of an ancient Lithuanian forest animal, the aurochs, found on the slopes of the Dubysa River. These horns are about 2000 years old, an extraordinarily rare and interesting exhibit, praised by Professor Tadas Ivanauskas. Together with the Tytuvėnai Regional Park Directorate, the forestry enterprise takes care of the museum's exhibition and continuously adds new exhibits. Today, the museum invites visitors to admire an interesting collection of garden and forest birds, learn about forest animals and their lifestyles, appreciate the wide variety of insects in the area, and admire the woodwork of local folk craftsmen.

Guided tours at the Forest Museum are conducted by employees of the Tytuvėnai Regional Park and can be booked in advance.
