In 1828, Jonas Kaminskas built the first church in Vidiškiai, later renovated in 1840. The current Vidiškiai Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built between 1901 and 1906 and consecrated by Bishop Eduardas Ropas in 1906. A parish was established in 1921.
By 1933, the church was empty and neglected. With the efforts of Father Z. Žeidys and parishioners, it was restored: the roof was re-covered, and a large cross was erected on the tower. On August 27, 2006, the church celebrated its centenary and received a personal blessing from Pope Benedict XVI.
The Neo-Gothic church has a cruciform plan, a single tower, and a lower five-sided apse with turrets. The churchyard is enclosed by a metal fence with masonry pillars. Inside, the painting Christ with a Crown of Thorns and a Reed in His Hand is preserved as a cultural monument.
